My WLS journey began 3-28-11 with a visit to Dr Nelson. Because most of my weight is up high she wanted me to lose 40 lbs to better the chance's of doing my RNY laprscopic. I had lost 9 lbs before the visit. That day they set all my appointments for the next 3 months dietitian,physical therapy and phyc eval. They had my journey mapped out all I had to do was lose 40 more lbs but for the first time I had help and a plan. I went home and tryed to follow the plan the best I could it wasn't always easy but I had to do it anyway it was for my own good. By 7-20-11 I had lost 42 lbs Dr Nelson set my surgery date for 8-2-11. My surgery is just a high point in my journey its not the end my weight loss journey will continue for the rest of my life. Now it is a life without inhalers,diabetes meds,high blood pressure meds and a host of others.
