Update!!!

Dec 28, 2018

OK, we all love the holidays but am I alone when I say sometimes I'm glad when its over? Family has all gone home, my house is clean again, the kitchen is back in working order, I can use the bathroom with the door open...OOoops, sorry, went a bit too far with that one !! Anyway, Monday the 24th made one week post-op for me and guess what??

10 POUNDS DOWN!!! I can so feel it in my body that I lost but to see the 10lbs disappear from the scale was such a joy that my jaw just dropped for a second before forming a giant goofy smile!  What surprises me more is that I dont feel like I'm starving which makes me glad because I was really afraid of that... So far I have had consumed and had no adverse reactions to: Premier Protein shakes both chocolate and vanilla- lime, lemon and cherry Jello- Cream of Wheat with 1% milk and protein powder- Syntrax Nectar protein juice drinks in various flavors (23g of 'tein per serving. mix w/ 8,12 or 16ozs of h20) heres the link to sampler pack but they can be bought separately:

60ml or 2 medicine capfuls of apple cider, couldnt resist on christmas- sugar free Jello cheesecake pudding- sugarfree pistachio Jello pudding- and my personal favorite, cottage cheese sprinkled with a cream of chicken protein powder soup mix and heated in the microwave for about 35 seconds.  The chicken protein soup mix I got on bariatricpal.com heres the link:

Now, im thinking that with the cottage cheese, you could season it with your favorite bullion cubes or seasonings from your spice rack or even with a dash of your favorite broth and get a similar outcome. I have a cream of tomato protein soup packet that I am going to try to mix with the cottage cheese to see how that tastes.  I ate all of the cream of broccolli packets while I was on my 2 week liquid diet before surgery!  I eat everything out of a 2.5oz condiment container and sometimes I cant even finish that but I dont feel weak or hungry or like Im lacking food. I can drink 12oz of fluid but it takes about 45mins to an hour to get it all in then I cannot consume anything for a good 2 hours but im managing! I've been walking around the block in my neighborhood and even went grocery shopping for the family!  Monday is my 2week post op and I will post my weight then! January 7th will be my 3 week follow up with my doc.  It would be great to show up 20lbs down but we will see! Bye for now
