I grew up in a very rural area of Northern Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains. It was just my mom and I and we lived a very basic existence. Some of the most amazing times of my life were from this period of my life. Its also when my battle with weight began. I have always thought of fried foods and savory foods as a comfort.
I met and married the love of my life in 2001. This was before I was even out of high school (crazy I know). After we married it seemed like the weight just started mutiplying every year. This is when I also began to notice that we weren't getting pregnant.
Fast forward 11 years and here I sit writing about all the things that make me, me and the struggles I have lived. It's impossible to put it all down here, but I am going to have WLS on May 6, 2013. I am excited to start my real life so that my husband and I can finally start the family we deserve.
