Today is my second day home after surgery and things are going well. I am having trouble believing I am actually "full" after eating such small amounts of food. The only thing bothering me right now is the port site as it is attached to a muscle on the side of my abdomen and a little uncomfortable. Also the gas from the laprascopic surgery is settled in my left shoulder and causing me pain there as well as tightness in my chest. Other than that so far so good.

Well, today is Feb 16/10 and my Lap Band surgery is next Tuesday. I started a 7 day liquid diet today consisting of 5 bottles of Boost Diabetic. Yucky cause it is sweetened with sucralose. Normally I enjoy the meal replacements but not enjoying the after taste of the sucralose.

Anyway I have gone through a mixture of emotions already this morning. First when I got to work  I was a little out of sorts, not too sure why but probably because of the big changes. Now I am feeling better and surprised that I have made it through 5 hours of the diet without too much hunger. I am actually adding 2 fat free yogurts to my day cause I need to use them up and they are a whopping 35 calories each so I should be fine. Yogurt is one of my favourites and i feel better knowing I can have those at least.

Feeling a little dizzy and lightheaded and sensitive to the sun but just trying to keep on the water.

Today is Wednesday, February 10, 2010 and my Lap Band surgery is scheduled for February 23, 2010. I have been on the OH site a bit today and doing some research on line about post op diet and I am getting seriously excited!  Excited about the potential and hope that now exists for me. I have hope that I won't have Sleep Apnea, I have hope that I will lose the 100 lbs I dreaming about, I have hope that I will be healthy for the remainder of my life and never have to worry about losing weight again.
