Less than 48hours to go.....

Wow, I can't even begin to articulate how I'm feeling right now.....it seems life a lifetime ago, this all was just a figment of my imagination...."me, have gastric bypass surgery?" And now, Monday morning, that will be my reality!
I'm as ready as I can be. I've got all of my food-stuff in the cupboard & fridge for when I get home from the hospital. I've got all of my vitamin supplements & a pill crusher. I've even got plenty of bottled water on hand.
I've still gotta pack my bag for my hospital stay...got magazines galore, so I'll be able to bide the time while there. My "peeps" at work surprised me on Thursday with a "good-luck with your surgery" present---a MAGIC BULLET blender system, so that I can use it at both home & work to mix up my protein drinks.....I just love them!!
My pupper-baby knows something is up.....she's been very clingy last night and today. I will miss Hubster and the pupper-baby most when I go to the hospital on Monday. Both my babies.....
Deep breathe.....it'll be here, VERY SOON!!

Countdown to a new "Me"

"I've been heavy all of my life......" yeah, that's what all of us have said at some point in life. Realizing I needed help was the beginning of this journey. Understanding what I needed to do to make the journey took more time--the process has been challenging and trying at times, but the knowledge that my health, well-being and, lets face it......my body will greatly improve, has been my motivation! It's not all, fun & games...sunshine and flowers.....it's hard work! We have to give up alot.....mostly stuff that is, in the big picture, not really important in the grand scheme of things. But the me that I see.....down the road....is much happier for the sake of the journey! The finish line is coming.....and I'm just getting my second-wind!!
