"What matters/ed almost exclusively to me was Dr. Freeman's actual surgical experience (number of surgeries done (over 1500), complications (few), deaths (0), liklihood of lap procedure (99%). Surgical competence is far more impt to me than manner. Dr. Freeman is, however, quite charming and charismatic, but he is also very busy, perhaps overextended. However, he has put together an extremely competent support team, especially his PA, Tim Barnes. Outside the OR, Tim was really like my doctor. I didn't see Dr. Freeman in the hospital after surgery, at my 7-day visit, or at my 1-month visit. Yet, I feel I received complete and thorough information, care and treatment. If top-notch surgical skill is your priority, you can't do better. "
"My major complaint has to do with the nursing care staff. They would often forget to do things (like give me my meds, empty/measure my urine output). I was doing very well so I think they got a little sloppy. "
