In 2004 I wanted to get gastric bypass but was told I could not get the procedure due to anti-inflammatory medication I take for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I did get the lap-band but it has not been very successful. Now I'm hoping to get insurance approval to remove the band and get the gastric bypass. Another clinic told me the meds could be adjusted. I now also have learned I have Fibromylgia, degenerative joints and osteoarthritis. I'm constantly in pain so I decided if losing weight could help releive the pain it would be worth the risk of losing the anti inflammatory drugs which are not helping the pain anyway.
I've had all my prelimanary testing, completed Friday 13th. Waiting for my WLC to submitt to insurance.
