Medabolix, Inc. is owned by Daniel L. Stickler, M.D., a Bariatrician and Bariatric surgeon. The company specializes in weight loss, wellness, and disease management. Dr. Stickler began performing laparoscopic bariatric surgery in 1999 and as of 2006 had performed over 1600 gastric bypasses. He takes a great deal of pride in his aftercare program and focuses on the long-term success of his patients.
Since 2001, Medabolix has also managed thousands of clients for non-surgical weight loss, diabetes management, cholesterol management, hypertension, heart disease and general wellness or age management. Our team of dietitians, nurses, exercise physiologists, and psychologist take a comprehensive approach to treating clients. Our comprehensive approach includes; one-on-one visits with our professionals, group support, online education, and state of the art physiologic assessment tools (DEXA body composition scans, metabolic cart to assess resting metabolic rate, and VO2 max testing). Through this approach we focus on optimizing nutrition and fitness to help individuals manage their disease and general health while in most cases avoiding or eliminating the use of prescription medication. For those clients that are unable to visit our facility, we offer a phone consultation program that makes use of our many online educational tools.
