My new life begins !!

The start of my new life ( 1-23-09) finally arrived.  The surgery went well. I can't say there wasn't a high level of discomfort afterwards but I knew it would be temporary and well worth  it.  Now 7 days post op I'm doing pretty good.  I've found that the soft and puree foods sit better with me than the protein shakes and thick liquids so I'm starting to experiment more with the real foods already.   I'll be excited to go to my first follow up appt with my surgeon on 2-9-09. I love my surgeon. Dr. Boorse is an awesome guy. And I can't wait to get back to the support group meetings. LVH has a wonderful ongoing post op program.
