I' m less than 6 weeks away from getting my surgery date ( I hope). So last week at my first nutrition class reality set in. I' m excited and have been working towards this since January, but having doubts about whether I can do this. I live alone and what little family I have left live far away and are busy with their own lives. So my support is minimal. I have one close friend and coworker who is also working on getting surgery. She reads and searches for info and shares it with me. I have another friend/coworker 2-1/2 years after surgery who looks wonderful and seems so happy. She tells me she knows i can do it. Without them, I would be lost.
