February 1, 2009

Jan 30, 2009

It has been forever since I have been on here, but I recently had a great reason to remember.  On February 1, 2009 I will officially be celebrating my 5th re-birthday.  It is amazing to me how much life has changed since that day in 2004.  There have been ups and downs in my health, but as I got back to watching my proteins and other vitamins the right way, I find myself feeling better than I ever have.  I am now 42 years old but I feel better and look better than I did when I was 32.  I hope that anyone that finds my page and sees my pictures know that happiness and good health is all within your grasp.  The first 18 months it will feel like a miracle, but you will begin to truly understand that this surgery is a tool; an amazing tool, but still a tool.  As time goes on you will notice that your appetite will increase a bit, and you will be able to tolerate more food.  That is where you begin to do all the things you wanted to do but felt too far past it all to keep up with it.  Exercise, watching what you eat, drinking fluids, etc. will keep you at your goal weight.  I don't get here often at all.  In fact, I can't remember when I was last on here.

I hope all of you reach your goals and attain your dreams.  I am now the active Mother I have wanted to be, and Xander and I are thrilled that we can run and play without Mommy gasping for breath.  Cliff and I are happier together now that I have a positive outlook and feel better.

God bless all of you and keep you strong and happy.
