"I haven't had surgery yet, but this man is awesome. Besides knowing he is an excellent surgeon, he is also a very warm, caring person. I know this from actually working in the past at the clinic he is associated with. When you work at a clinic, you get to hear all the low-down that not just anyone can hear about bedside manner and the like. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about Dr. Mazzeo, and I know from dealing with him personally that he is very sensitive to the needs of his patients, and most of all, is very sincere and understanding.
I have two other friends that have recently had open RNYs done by him, and they are both doing great.
My first official appointment with him is March 5!!
MARCH 6- I had my appointment with Dr. Mazzeo, and he is sending my letter out ASAP. He is very kind and reassuring. He wants to make sure his patients are very well informed of everything related to the surgery. He said he has been doing RnYs for 20 years or so....so I can't wait to get a date(that is, if insurance approves).

I have been approved by Unicare, and my surgery is scheduled for July 11, 2001!
POSTOP - I highly recommend Dr. Mazzeo. He was so wonderful, and he isn't like a lot of docs in that he doesn't make you feel like some kind of fat freak. He is so kind. Also, if anyone is looking for an excellent primary care doctor here in Vicksburg, Dr. Tom Sligh is the best (IMHO). I highly recommend him."
