Hi everyone,

I will be working on post op week 3 in 4 days. It was rocky at 1st but now I am feeling soo much better and getting into the groove of things. I have lost 26 lbs. I didn't think that the weight would be coming off so fast. This journey is not a easy one but I wouldn't change it for anything. Keep up the work guys and to those of you who are having the surgery in the future good luck.

I am two days away from my surgery date and I am feeling a bittersweet feeling. I am anxious, happy, elated, overjoyed just about any emotion that you could associate with a positive mood. I have been on a no-low card diet for the last two weeks and I was able to get 12 lbs off. I have been working out 4 days a week and I am just happy that I have taken steps to improve my quality of life. To my counter parts who are having surgery around the same time as I, I wish you good luck and much success on your journey.

I dont know where to start my story. I have been overweight most of my life. I have tried just about every diet that any one could have tried. I am at my last straw and I want to make a change that is going to be life long and not a part of my yo - yo past. I was in a car accident 3 years ago and I sustained injuries that caused me to have severe back pain. The back  injury never healed and I have had to get epidurals every three months to control the pain of early spine degeneration. I have been told that if I could loose weight it would take tension off of my back and allow my spine to heal without surgery. This is why I say that this is my second chance. My chance to be healthy and pain free. My surgery date is April 7, 2010 and with God as my witness I am gonna win this battle.
