Well I am 4 days post op and feeling great. I have lost 9 lbs already. It is just amazing to me. I have not had any signs of nausea and no vomiting...knock on wood. I have been up walking since they took me from the recovery room. A little sore but nothing unbearable. The hospital and nurses were wonderful, and so was my husband. He has been waiting on me hand and foot. whatever I want he gets. Anyway thats it for tonight...will write again after my post op appoint...it is on the 22nd.

About Me

Jan 30, 2008

Hi everyone,
My name is Angelique. I am 36 years old, a mother of 2 teenagers and wife of almost 18 years. I have been overweight most of my adult life...I am currently at my heaviest. I have started the process to have surgery 3 times. The first time my pc doctor was not supportive of the surgery so the insurance would not consider it. The second time (different pc) I started the process 2 things stopped me. First I was told by the dietician that I had to loose 10 % of my body weight...ha.ha.ha. if I could do that I would not need surgery I said. and second I just started a new job and probation time was a year, I did not feel comfortable asking for time off during that period so I just gave up....well I am on my third attempt. I have completed everthing the surgeon has asked me to do, and I have a surgery date scheduled for Feb 7th. I am so very nervous. I have about 112 pounds to loose. I hope that I am successful.
