Well tonight if my final night of Preop diet, tomorrow I will have my surgery I can't believe this day

is finally here.  

Hello all,

Well today is my 7th day of the pre op diet.  First couple of days was a little rough but i can honestly say that

I have adjusted I thjink about food but I'm not really hungry.  I think it's fear of not shrinking my liver for surgery.

But whatever works is fine for me. I had my Pre Op visit with my doctor on Friday did blood work and EKG.  Just

9 more days to go I can't wait.

 

After not going through with the surgery in 2006 I again attempted in 2009 lost my job and benefits. Here I am once again but

this time it's different I have reached my goal weight and my surgery is scheduled for April 16th. I'm nervous and excited. Stay tuned

I've taken that first big step on July 17th 2007 I went to the SSF Kaiser Gastric Bypass Surgery seminar. I've thought about this years ago but was against it.   I felt It was taking the easy way out and I wanted to loose the weight on my own.  Well it turns out I was wrong about the surgery I had no idea how much more there was to the surgery until I went to the seminar.  I also failed at taking the weight off and even added on more weight.  Which is now causing me problems. I am now awaiting my second appointment and looking forward to getting the surgery approved.
