"I am a nurse and have worked in surgery with Dr. Birkitt, so I have first hand knowledge of his experience. He is a great surgeon! If there were a hundred surgeons to choose from, I would choose Dr. Birkitt. I am working in another area of surgery now and get to talk to his office assistant, Debbie, quite frequently. She is absolutley the best! My first appointment was in November. He met with a small group of patients to give us general information about the surgery,risks, his stats, etc. Then each patient was taken in to an exam room where he individualized the care. He organizes classes for his patients with a nutritionist. It is great to have a copy of the nutrition plan that will be followed post-op before surgery. I think Dr. Birkitt is a perfect 10! I can't wait to be scheduled! I got my insurance approval letter 2 days ago! "
