Hi Felicia: In my experience it is best to measure your self each month and not be as concerned about the weight loss to the point of being parinoid. if you arent loosing weight you still are probably loosing inches.I am a compulsive weigher as I am as a compulsive eater. I know for myself I measure myslef also. I feel better that I still can see a loss even if the scales dont show a loss. I am beginnign at 453lbs and should show a weight loss for a long while before I see a plataug. How is your exercise going? I am walking about 1/2 to 1 mile every day. some times if you exercie to much you may be gaining muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.I am only 6 weeks out and have lost 50+lbs and 18 inches or more. Please dont get discouraged to soon you have a long way to go yet. Please feel free to write me if you need some support. Sheryl OPEN RNY July 22, 2002 516/453/400/160

Hi Felicia! My name is Annie Nelson. I'm new to this sight, and my surgery date is 6/21/02, and I'm scared. For some reason I chose you to be the first person to share with on this site. By this time you will have had your surgery, and I pray all went went well. When you get home, and as soon as you are able I'd love to hear from you. The only person who found out from church, isn't very supportive. But my daughter-in-law has had the surgery, and she and my husband are my support system now. May Gods face continue to shine upon you. May you have a complete, speedy, and uneventful recovery. God Bless Annie
