I traveled up to Oregon a few weeks ago to visit my son and his family.  When I arrived at the airport my son was there to meet me and did not recognize me, when I spoke to him he finally realized it was me.  It took him a few minutes to get over the shock, but he said hey my mom from grade school is back.  It was pretty cute.

August 13th was my one year annivarsary date.  I had my surgery in San Mateo, CA.  My room over looked the South San Francisco Bay and I watched the aircraft landing at the SF airport.

Well, this week one year and one day later, I checked into a hotel on business trip. I was on the other side of the bay over looking the marina and as I was watching the aircraft land at the SF airport I was so amazed at what God has completed in my life this year.  Not only am I 150 lbs lighter, but I have an awesome new job with incredible perks and almost double my previous salary.

Today is my one year anniversary.  As I look back it is hard to comprehend how much I weighed.  I have lost 150 lbs and still losing!

My father was sent home from the hospital on Jan 5th with a week to live, well dad held on until March 18th.  One thing I am sure of is dad is in Heaven and enjoying the presence of the Lord without pain.

I realize now how much the stress of all the travel up to Oregon to be with dad and mom, and working the normal 60 hour weeks that I work have affected me.  I am paying close attention to taking care of myself and making sure I am healthy.

I remember this time last year saying to myself, this will be my last Christmas as a FAT person, I had set a goal for myself to have RNY in 2007.  A little Faith and a whole lot of want to and it happened!

I just returned from Christmas with my oldest son and his wife and my 6 month old grandson.  So many encouraging things happened.

1.  I stood in line at the airport without having to call for assistance to get to the gate, I actually walked from one end of the SAC airport to the other.
2.  I flew on the plane without a seatbelt extender and had room to spare.
3.  My son saw me and his jaw dropped!
4.  I saw friends at church on Sunday and they were all shocked at the change since I saw them last Jan at a funeral.
5.  My parents asked lots of questions, did not comment on how I look (old school, no compliments) but I knew my dad was proud of me.
6.  I shopped at Nordstrom Rack and found Many things in MY SIZE!

The list goes on and on, but you get the jest, I feel fantastic!

I am now down 102 LBS and by the way I just got a promotion at work!

God is so Awesome! 

I just realized it has already been 3 months since surgery, time has flown by and the lbs keep coming off for a total of 75 now and about 4 sizes.

Today is my 2 Month Anniversary, WOW!  Seems just a short time ago I was waiting and waiting for my date to get here, now I am waiting and waiting for the weight to all be gone... sigh, guess sometimes I expect too much too quick.

The good news is I am now down 60 pounds!!!!!!!

Well, it is one month since surgery and I feel great!  The only problem I am having with exercise is my knnes begin to ache, but is nothing I cannot handle.

I have lost 40 lbs since surgery, only barfed a couple of times, otherwise I am having no trouble sticking with the program.

Three weeks and 30 pounds gone, still trying to get my mind wrapped around it all.

It has only been 6 days since surgery and so much has already happened.  

I am down 16 lbs since the morning of surgery.
I have no pain.
I am able to eat all the food on the schedule from my doctor.
I went to the grocery store today and did my weeks shopping.

I am amazed at how well I am feeling and I can already feel the difference in how my clothes fit.

What a journey this is going to be!!!
