Referral from PCP because of Back Problems

Jan 10, 2014

Just saw my PCP on Wednesday the 9th of January and he gave the okay for the surgery. He said it was time, and he said I really should look into it with the way my back is. I'm getting an MRI done tomorrow to figure out why and how my arms and legs are always falling asleep and I have complete and total incontinance (at times). I think it has to do with my original scolisis when I was 10 (a 90 and 70 degree turns in opposite directions - my spine looked like an S) and the harrington rod/ spinal fusion surgery that year

- plus all this weight on top of that - I'm worried I'll be in a wheelchair sooner rather than later and all this pain is here to stay. I'm now 359 and have a bmi of almost 58. I'm frightened but I know I'm headed on the way to do the right thing. So here goes... Orientation the 24th and then we'll see where we're at.
