I am waiting for a surgery date. It's been a long wait. Nearly a year. Started out unsure. I had stomach stapling about 28 years ago and I was able to eat enough so that I never lost weight. On my own and for brief periods -- two to three years at the longest -- was able to take off 100 pounds on at least 3 or 4 occasions, but it always came back. I have been overweight all my life and as I reach the last one-third of my life I'd like more mobility and energy. Don't want to spend my remaining years in a wheelchair.Though I'm planning to follow all the doctor's orders to a tee, I can't help but worry that I'll blow this second chance, too.
Still unsure of type of surgery.
