"Dr Cahill is very knowledgeable and experienced. He was optimisitic.
His office staff exceeded expectations.
He was friendly and approachable.
This has been the best experience with a wls doctor.
He emphasizes aftercare, but is understandable about people who have to travel many hours to see him. He told me he would like me to stay in Chicago 5 days after I get out of the hospital in case of urgent care, since I have to drive 4 hours.
I rate him very high. He also did my daughter's surgery and a close friend, and they were more than satisfied with him.
Surgical competence is by far most important, but after that, it is very important to have a good bedside manner.
I will know more after surgery, but I have met him more than once."
"I was less than impressed with this man. I am a reasonable person and he said I was difficult, I think because after driving the traffic in INdy, a 2 hr trip one way, that he asked me to come back as he was unable to finish my interview. It was a stressful drive for someone who is not used to driving in a city and being anxious about all the traffic. so I went back and then went back again to take my MMPI test. I took it and then when I saw the test that was supposed to be mine, had another name on it. I didn't think too much about it, but when I checked the age and date, it didn't correspond. Anyway, he said that I was a mess, needed extensive therapy, etc. I questioned some of the answers that I supposedly gave, as I certainly did not remember most of those things. So, I do not even know if the test that they sent to the second psychologist was even mine, but I took the test again and because of the previous test, the dr must have thought I lied or tried to work the test, as he said it was almost too perfect. I am now trying to get the paperwork on the second test, to compare."
