Saw my surgeon

Jan 09, 2009

Well I saw my surgeon, Dr.Brader, today and I am very excited. He is very nice and so are his staff at the clinic. The nurse took my blood pressure, my height and my weight. She told me that my blood pressure is really high so I need to start taking blood pressure medication soon. I have always thought that I was around 5'6 or 5'7 but apparently I am a little over five foot -eight inches. And I weigh exactly 324 pounds and 8 ounces. Everything seems to be running smoothly.I have a list of things I need to get done over the next couple of months. Some of the things I need to do are do my 6 month monitored diet and exercise plan(Lose 10 Pounds). I have to go to at least one member support group which I will not mind. I want to meet people who have gone or are going through the same thing as me. And tomorrow I need to go to the hospital to get blood taken to see if I have this one bacteria in my stomach. If I have it then I have to take some sort of medication to get rid of it. And last but not least, I need to pay the clinic $200 before Iget my surgery. Apparently it is in the patient contract that I signed. Its just an incentive to them and I will be reimbursed within 5 years after my surgery.

Yeah so there is alot going on with me.
Alot of things I need to get done.
I will keep you all updated.

Meeting my surgeon tomorrow afternoon

Jan 08, 2009

I am excited to be meeting my surgeon Dr. Alan Brader for the first time since the information seminar.
I have an appointment with him tomorrow at 1 PM at the Lancaster General Health Campus.
I am not sure if I will have many questions for him though.
I mean, since the information seminar pretty much answered all my questions.
