Hi Georgia, Congratulations on your 1yr anniversary. What a great job you have done. You are such an inspiration to all of us, pre-op & post-op. Georgia, I live in PHX also and when I came upon this website a year ago, I looked for peers under AZ., and your name was the first name that I went to and began to read your profile. Hi, I just wanted to give you my two cents worth on what you said about occasionally feeling ashamed about having this surgery to control your weight. I admit that I felt the same way also to begin with. I am still waiting to have my surgery and have spent MANY MANY hours on this web site reading what everyone else has gone through or is going through. And the conclusion that I have come to is that you have to be a VERY brave and VERY STRONG person to be able to do this!!! From what I have read and seen for myself, it is very hard to go through. Not an easy way out! I commend you for being brave enough to do this and succeed as well as you have! You should not ever be ashamed!!! It is a way of improving your life! Do you see anyone who has had a boob job(life improvement)being ashamed?? :) I also have UHC PPO and am waiting on approval. Any info on that would be wonderful!
