I will be 41 this year, in May... I was 18 when I had my first Son and when I had my 2nd son in 1991 my diagnosis was "Obesity in Pregnancy".
I have struggled with weight my entire adult life, teetering at around a 33-35 BMI in 2006. I have been blessed with a curvy figure and large breasts that camouflaged my true size (as you can see in my Dec 2006 photo). In 2008 my PCOS and cycles were so severe my GYN placed me on hormone therapy. In July 2009, I underwent the hysterectomy the progesterone was to avoid and I have been unable to lose any of the weight I packed on while on that medication.
I'm nearly 41 years old, I'm morbidly obese, I have medical issues all related to weight and I have factors so embarrassing to me, I can not even address them aloud. I don't know that surgery is the answer for me yet, but I know it's time and...... Change gonna' come.
