10.23.03 I visited with Regina last night over the phone. She was feeling "ok" she said - still sounded a little groggy, but after we talked for a bit she was sounding better. She said she was sore from the moving around - walking she had done. Also she had drank some broth and had some jello. Sounds like she is doing well. She said she would be in the hospital till Friday. I'm sure she is looking forward to going home. She can't wait for the IV to COME OUT! I remember that feeling too - I know she will be so glad once that is out!! I'll let ya know what I find out today. She is doing well though!

Gina is doing great. I visited her last night between Curves and my aquatics class. She was alert and bored. I kind of got a little pushy with the staff cause they had not had Gina walk all day. I guess I am just too spoiled and used to the BTC way of getting us up two hours after surgery and then all day and night to walk. I took pictures for Gina and left her with some magazines and orders to walk no matter what. She is a wonderful person and I want to see her doing really well with no complications. Ann in TX

10.21.03 My husband and I visited Regina today. She had just got out of surgery when we arrived and soon got a room after that. She went through the surgery just fine and they also took her gall bladder as well - said she had a ton of stones - so that's good she got that out at the same time. Once she got to her room, the nurses were trying to make her as comfortable as possible with extra pillows, etc. She was totally out of it, but that was expected - she did give us a little wave of the hand which just made us smile! I asked her if she had her morphine button and she nodded yes - so she's good to go for the next few days! Then she faded into la-la land again. Oh, she is in room 502 - she ended up in the maternity ward because they ran out of room on the 3rd floor - We thought that was a hoot - Regina, was there something you forgot to tell us honey?! Just joking! She's in great hands. Will keep you posted later...
