Hello Everyone, I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH, to everyone who sent me such wonderful thoughts and well wishes, and to say THANK YOU to my ANGEL, Angela Harlan, who took the time to listen, care, and love me as her new friend, even though she was going though a rough time herself. I was so happy to hear her voice on the phone while I was in the hospital. Right now I am at about 75%!!! Getting stronger every day...with two little ones, I have no other choice...lol. Thank you again to all my sweet dear friends. Love...GINA RISO

Good Morning and what a GOOD MORNING it is for Gina..I just spoke to her at the hospital and she got a GOOD night sleep and she feels good. She is finally out of ICU and in a regular room. They finally took the NG tube out so prior to that she had a Horriable first couple of days. She is having a very bad time with the coughing, so if any one out there has any suggestions to help her with this problem she would love to hear from you. The best news is that she might be going home either later today or tomorrow. Oh Right Gina... way to go! Can't wait to talk to you from home. Keep up the good work. Love, Angela

Well, I finally talked to Gina this morning. It was such a good feeling to hear her voice on the other end. She said her pain is better, but she still has the NG Tube which is giving her a terriable sore throat and it is also making it hard for her to breath. She said she also feels sick to her stomach. She said it is probably because of the tube and the fact that she is a little hungry. She really wants a nice cup of Chicken Broth instead of those cold ice chips. She was sitting up and waiting for her Doctor to come in and hopefully take the NG Tube out and put hopefully get her into a regular room. As I have said befor she's a real trooper! Even though she is in some discomfort her spirits are good and she is happy with her decision to have this surgery. Feel better soon Love,Angela

Gina, I'm so sorry to hear you're having so much pain. I hope you feel better real soon. Don't be afraid to ask for plenty of pain killers... no reason to be a martyr. Hope the next post from Angela is a little better. Love, Nancy G.

Hi Everyone..........I tried and tried to post this update on Gina last night but I could not get through. So I am trying agin this morning. Gina's husband Kevin called me around 8:45pm (EST) and said that Gina was in a tremendous amount of pain. But, he also said that every time she was awake she smiled and said she is happy that she went through with the surgery. What an inspiration to those of us waiting for our surgery or trying to make that decision! Kevin said she will be in ICU another day and then go to a regular room on Thursday. Poor Kevin has been a nervous wreck all day and he was going to head home shortly. It is an hour and a half ride from their home to the hospital, so when we are saying our prayers for Gina's speedy recovery don't forget to pray that Kevin trips back and forth to the hospital are safe trips. Well, that is it for now. I told Kevin that I would talk with him on Wednesday and if he had any new news he would call me as soon as he could. Gina get well soon. Can't wait to hear your voice! Love,Angela
