I got to go to the Bariatric Informational Session in Roanoke, VA last night with Dr. Lucktong.  It was great to hear about the options of the Lapband versus the Bypass.  People had so many different questions and a lot were to do with their insurance even though all of us got a paper about what our insurance required at the beginning of the session.  I am getting ready to fill out and send back my information for Dr. Lucktong so that I can be scheduled in for my consult... lets all cross our fingers for a date soon so that I can find out what all I need to do before surgery.

Well I am still waiting to get an appointment for the pre-consult class they require here with my insurance.  I have done all the other pre-consult items that I needed to do even this class but I was sent to one in the wrong location.  So now I have to go through this class again.  Then I get my consult with the doctor!  I really can't wait for my consult because I would like to know just exactly how long I have to wait after that because of everything that was required I have already done and my physician had documented.  My physician has faxed in all the info from my record to the bariatric surgeons office I just can't wait too much longer to meet the surgeon.  At the moment I meet them I will know that my life is in good hands.  My sleep apnea is just getting worse with the c-pap and it is so hard to make it through a day when I have to stand a lot.  Guess that dislocating my knee about five years back and being overweight didn't help that at all.  Just trying to be patient and wait each day for anymore news.
