Preop testing

I seriously doubt there is anything more disgusting that drinking barium for an Xray. I swear the consistency is like Elmer's glue. I cringe just thinking about it. I had my upper GI yesterday that included that nasty barium stuff. I also had blood work and an EKG. I crossed the street from the hospital to my surgeon's office and already results were being faxed over. Later in the afternoon got a call from his office stating that they had everything they needed and that the surgeon was on vacation this week. They want me to call them next wednesday and hopefully by then I can get my date. Now Im not nervous anymore. I just want it done already......
