I got on the scale this morning. I finally hit my 50lb loss today. Yeah, I thought it would never get here. Now if I could get back on a regular schedule at the YMCA. It had been almost a month since I had been then I went to aquafitness last Saturday and haven't been back since. My goal now is to start back at the Y like I was before. Oh, and I need to get the left over Halloween candy out of my site. I need to get an updated picture posted, also. Thats all for now. Will update again soon.

 

Today I had my first lapband adjustment. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be now lets see how I do with the eating. I've lost 33 lbs to date. I've been working out at the YMCA doing a lots of aqua fitness. I think the exercise more than anything has contributed to my weight loss. Well I'm at work now so I'll sign out.

I had my LapBand installed today.  Amazing, everyone said I would come though it ok and I did. I'm on my way now. The morning of my surgery I got on the scale and weighed in at 312 lbs. Now I'm on to the 2 weeks of liquids as instructed by my Dr. this will be a very challenging time.

I had my preop visit today. My Dr. had a 4 page form I had to initial about 100 times. It was very helpful though because it brought to mind lots more questions that I was able to get answered. My blood pressure was a little high but only because I was so nervous. 

Awaiting Aug 6th, nervously and excitedly. I should be getting my before picture on here soon.

Boy,, this has been a long wait. Lots of calls to the doctors office only to find out they had switch nurse aids, I would say about 3 since Feb 15th. I had been told 3 times the info was sent to the insurance only to find out that it hadn't been sent until finally it did get sent and was approved and surgery was scheduled for Aug 6 2007.  YEAH,,, finally.
Ohh crap,, now I'm really nervous.

Of course one of the first things they do is take your blood pressure, 165/95 not good, of course I was a little nervous so that had a little something to do with why it was high. I felt really good about the surgeon, good bedside manor, very nice and compassionate about my situation. This feels like the right thing to do for me.

Now to schedule the appointments I need for approval..
