3 years ago he took out my gallbladder.
1 and 1/2 yrs ago my lapband was removed due to slippage and i gained back fifty pounds...
Ugh.. Didnt want to let my weight get completely out of control and i could see it headed that way. Diets and exercise dont work for me. Never have - never will. Im one of "those people" who cant control themselves, compulsively overeat and over indulge. *sigh..
February 6th, 2008... In Tijuana Mexico. Again.. To see Dr Daniel Huacuz-again. .
In Tijuana Mexico. Dr Daniel Huacuz did the surgery. He has his own facility now. His new center is very nice and well equipped. He has done a wonderful job with his staff, each one of the nurses were just so caring and sweet. Wasnt as if I was at a hospital or a surgical center, felt like i was being taken care of by family. Two days after my surgery it was my birthday and aw geez of course I didnt inform them but they went out of their way to make it a special day for me with flowers and balloons. Dr Huacuz even brought his staff in to sing a little happy birthday for me. Too sweet.
All went well with the actual surgery. I truly didnt feel any real pain, some soreness but the staff was there to make sure i was very comfortable. The staff- oh they were just so great. .
My only complaint was the drainage port- that thing was absolutely awful. BUT necessary i know i know. And - its done and i am super glad. 3 Weeks today and Im down 15 pounds. Yay!
07/15/10 alot has happened since my vsg.. which initially only lost me about 35 pounds. Thats it. thats all. I wasnt very heavy to begin with - heavy for being as tall as I am 5"2 but I was right around 190 or so when I had my VSG. Well turns out that that 35 pounds was all I needed - that plus a baby asprin a day- to get pregnant! So here I am almost 2 years later with an 11 month old angel who just lights up my life. And while Im a little depressed about gaining weight again Im up to 184... My doctor thinks its due to anti depressants.. and has told me to just 'get off" off them.. lol. Dunno that I will follow that advice but we'll see. If anyone has some advice i could sure use it...
