I did it.

Aug 09, 2007

Well I haven't posted in a while. I had my sugery on July 16th. Everything went well. I had a small set back with a high fever the following Monday night. It was a small infection in my incision where my drain was and the ER Dr. said I was not taking deep enough breaths so my lungs were not expanding as they should. It's called something, can't remember. This was on wed. that I went to ER. to get IV fluids and have my blood work checked to see if my white blood count had gone down. It had and I felt better getting fluids. I have lost about 32 lbs. It is really hard to get in all that protein and water. I feel like my stomach is going to burst. I'm feeling so tired. I have to go back to work on the 16th and I'm nervous I won't have the energy. Since I'm a hairdresser I run in high gear and I feel like I'm in low gear. I must get that protein in. I just can't stand that sweet taste. Any advice would be appreciated. Try and post more soon.

Ok it is the 2nd of july. Not much longer until my surgery on the 16th. I went to my nutrition class, very informative. I'm still confused at how this all goes down. No pun intended. I mean timing yourself, drinking, writing it down then timing yourself again etc. Am I going to be one that gets nauseas? I have always liked protein drinks so am I going to hate them after surgery?
So many things running through my head. It is more knowing how my body is going to feel towards food after that scares me. How does it feel to stand up the first time, after all my insides have been cut moved and stapled back together.Does it feel funny? Do you feel light headed.? They say that thingsyou loved to eat before you may not like after. I feel scared and excited
