Oh boy Melissa, here you are, the Friday before the surgery on Tuesday! I know you have been on liquids for what seems to be WEEKS now and soon will be switching to clears! (oh joy!) just remember as you are gulpingly drinking everything in sight, in a week from now you will be back home and will be full after about 2-4 bites of broth! Unbelieveable as it sounds, it's the truth! Seriously, I am so excited for you and the new life you will have with this surgery. I just know you are going to do great and YOU KNOW I will be there Tuesday evening to haul your sorry butt out of bed and get you to walk the halls! I may not take care of patients anymore, but still remember that! LOL (really folks, I won't do that! just threats!) sugar free popsicles, flavored water, chapstick, comfy (loose) clothes, a good chair and no 150lb dogs climbing onto your lap-you'll be set for after surgery!
