"We were waiting to be put in an exam room and Dr. Salameh walked up and shook our hands and introduced himself. I do not know how he knew us except that maybe he does not get too many husband/wife patients. He was so nice. Very professional. He explained everything very well.We had a few questions and he answered them. He had remembered seeing me at a support group meeting the month before. I was impressed. I know he sees a lot of patients and to remember that was nice to me. I have talked to several patients that he did their surgery. I feel we made the right decision and look forward to the surgery. The office staff was so nice. I knew some of them since I have worked at UMC for so long. He was very clear about after care and the importance of diet and exercise. He went over all the risks and was very clear. He seemed to have both surgical competence and bedside manner. We rate him a 10! The only negative thing We have to say is that I found out he is not certified in gastric bypass surgery. I still feel we made the right decision about having him do the surgery."
