My story is very much the same as most of yours out there. I was a fat kid and an even fatter teenager and since high school I have steadily been gaining weight. I decided after the loss of my older brother this past December that I had to do something to extend my life so that the rest of my family wouldn't have to suffer all over again. That is when I really began thinking about the surgery. I also have a friend Stacy, who is one year out of surgery and has done wonderful. It gives me the encouragement and support to commit to using this to change my life.
