William Peters

"I was very impressed with the warmth and friendliness of Dr. Peters and Robbie (wife/asst.). You can feel that he truly wants to be sure you understand all aspects of the different types of surgery. He asks many questions, tells you to take notes and wants you to ask all the questions you need to ask. He requires a second visit so you are both sure of your decision to have surgery. You can have all pre-op testing done in your own area. A big help if you are a distance away. He has a support group for both pre and post-ops also. There are no negatives at this point. 10/25/01 Had my second appt. today and I am even more positive that Dr. Peters is one of a kind. HE spent over 30 minutes trying to get pre-approval from the insurance company. Most doctors would have put the job off on the office staff. He answers all his own email and tells you to call any time you have a question or concern that needs an immediate answer. My husband is not real quick to like or trust people, but was completely at-ease with everything about Dr. Peters. I would recommend him to anyone. 12/27/01 After reading all Dr. Peters patient comments, I once told him it sounded as if he could walk on water. He was taken aback for just an instance, then answered, \"No, I go in up to my ankles at least.\" I will always remember that and the expression on his face. I truly believe he is an exceptional surgeon and man. He and Robbie make the perfect team. I am 9 days post-op and feeling wonderful! I keep trying to come up with a negative and the only one I can find is the nurses were not educated in the use of the pain buster. Even when I asked the right questions, I got the wrong answers. Finally a nurse, Judy, on 11 to 7am asked if I knew about the bulb. No other nurse in the room knew about it and when I had asked others on the other shifts, I was told it didn\'t work that way. I have to share blame, I never remembered to ask Dr. Peters when he was in the room. That\'s my negative. No one should hesitate seeing Dr. Peters or going to CMC because of it. It is now 14 months since my surgery. My aftercare has been excellent with bloodwork done every three months to find any problems while still minor. Dr. Peters stays personally involved with us through out recovery and the passing months. The phone will ring and it will be Dr. Peters just checking in to see how we are. He is at each and every support group meeting. He is the most unique and genuine medical professional, I have ever met! I'm sure there are negative aspects to him but I truly have not found them."
