Today is Saturday June 6th.  I'm feeling good.  Very sore, but it seems to be getting better.  Each time I take a pain pill I'm down for about 3 hours.  Went shopping with the family on the way home from Greeley Friday.  We stopped at Claim Jumper and I ordered a soup trio.  Watching everyone else eat was not that difficult because frankly I haven't been hungry.  I continue to drink my water on a constant basis and ate Cream of Wheat this evening for dinner.  My daughter, Sophia, keeps saying she doesn't know how I do it.  I'm just not hungry and I'm thankful!

OK, so surgery is done.  Not nearly as bad as I anticipated, just a little sore.  Surgery was at 8:30 and I was out of the hospital by 1pm.  I'm doing well, just really sleepy.  No hunger whatsoever, but find that I am mourning a loss of food as I watch my family eat!

I leave tomorrow for Greeley.  My mom will be driving up with me and my husband will come Wednesday night with the kids.  On Wednesday I have my pre-op appointment and colon cleanse.  I am feeling a lot of different emotions right now, some of which I am not familiar.  I am scared, anxious, excited, and sad.  Why am I sad?  It is always hard to leave behind a life you once knew.

So, I woke up this morning and realized that in less than one week, I will be having my surgery.  I find myself constantly viewing the before and after pictures of those who have had my surgery and find the results hard to believe.  I have been overweight since I was 4 years old.  I'm scared as hell but excited!

Right now I can only think of what do I want to eat.....I only have 2 1/2 days to get in my favorates and practice my age-old eating habits!
