I found a site today that really helped put things in perspective for me. It really made me sit back and look at all of the progress that I have made without focussing on just the "pounds" lost.1) no longer have chronic migraines
2) Type 2 diabetes in remission
3) Sore knees virtually disappeard (I actually started a running program this week)
4) GERD - Gone!
5) Hypertension under contrrol - no meds
6) Plantar fasciitis - gone
I am still using a CPAP for sleep apnea, but my doctor tells me that I probably don't need it, and that I need another sleep test. I will do that, but after 20 years of having a sleep disorder and 10 years of taking sleeping pills, I am thoroughly enjoying my sleep now. In some ways, I may have become dependant on my CPAP. We will see what happens.
So, I am choosing to be grateful today for all of the positives that I have so far, and I am only 9 weeks post op. I couldn't be happier!
