4 days to go

Oct 21, 2010

Since starting my pre-op diet last Wednesday I am 11 lbs lighter. Not too bad. The hardest day was last evening when my daughter made baked ziti for the family. Pasta and bread is my weakness and has always been. I ate before everyone else so I wouldn't be tempted to cheat. I chose a smart one Fettucini Alfredo with Chicken. So, I pretended it was just as delicious as the ziti. I look at the amount of food that is in those meals and I am so amazed that they are the correct portions that I am supposed to eat. Then I compare it in my mind to what I used to eat and I know why the weight comes back. Even though I had the Gastric Bypass in the past. I never really had a problem eating anything I wanted. Yes some things went down better than others but if you wait a little while you are able to eat a lot. So, I know where I went wrong and I plan on changing the way I think along with changing the way I eat. Anxious to be on the post-op end of this new lease on life.
