Hi my name is Dawn i am around the 455lb mark and i need to be free of this weight.

Hello to everyone
i still dont have a date yet, i will be going to have some test done soon.
A few people think i should not have the operation done, but i am not worried about them, let them walk a mile in my shoes. Thats what i say.
So i will get back to you all when i have some more info.

well i heard from the hospital today was told that i have been put on the waiting list.
the list is 4 to 6 months long......soooo still waiting for a date.
the waiting game is so very hard....

Hello all it been a long time… to long
Well I had my surgery on the 31st May 2006 all went very well and I was out of the hospital the next day.
Then I had a bad attack with my gallstone, which keep me in and out of hospital for a while. At the moment it is not safe for me to have the gallbladder removed. So I have medication to keep the pain at bay.
As of today I am doing well and the weight is coming off at its own pase.
Before the surgery I was 467 pounds I am now 429, I know its not much but I am getting there.
I will try and update more often.

So here is my story so far
I have not had the will to post on the forum as I have not had anything good to say really
Well as some of you my know I had my band fitted on the 31st May
All went well with the surgery
After being in and out after the op for my gallstones, and going through hell and back with the stones (which I still have) Went for my 1st fill in august and was just happy that I was going to start to lose.
Nothing was happing, so I had any appointment to have a fill under x-ray. Only to find out that my port has turned over and can not be filled
So from having the band fitted I have had no fills and in turn all the weight that I lost pre op and after the surgery, I have put back on. I am now back to square ONE
Went to the hospital today and I am back up to 212 kg. which is what I was on the day of my surgery
I am soooooooooooo disappointed in myself and the band.
I have heard it all, it will be fine when the port is fixed, the weight will fall off, don’t worry, it’s not your fault and many more.
But I have to be realistic and say I FEEL SO BURNED OUT with it all. 
Well in February I am having the gallbladder removed and the port fixed.
So lets so what happen then.
