Thanks GA Peach for encouraging me to update on my one year annivesary. I can't believe it's been a year. Sooo much has happened. It wasn't pleasant in the beginning but... with the help and support of my immediate family, my exhubby and this obesityhelp.com website... I feel and look sooo gooooood!!!!!!! I like looking in the mirror. And I have oodles and oodles of self confidence. I am at my ideal weight. I never thought I'd see 110 in this life time again. It's been over 20 years since the scale read 110. But this 110 is different than the 110 20 years ago. I have absolutely no cellulite and my body looks muscular yet svelt. And this is without any plastic surgery. What a blessing this has been. And a wonderful journey!!!!!!! I post now on a regular basis and plan to go to CORI seminars to encourage others who are thinking about the surgery. Having WLS was the best decision I could have made for ME!!!!!!!!!!!! Love, Collette

Thank you WLS members for all of your prayers. I am 1 wk. post-op. Everything went well. My surgeons were the best. The hospital was outstanding. I am slowly healing. I am thankful for my ex-husband for helping me through this. He has been an outstanding nurse and maid. I see my doc. tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).
