March 19, 2003: TOday is my One year anniversary since my surgery March 19, 2002. I have lost 130 pounds, and feel great. My Health problems are gone, and I have become a new person. I am thrilled that I did this, and am now a size 14 coming from a size 28. My BMI is down to 28 and I finally feel at peace with food. I had gotten divorced a year before the surgery, and am now dating, and enjoying friends and going out and doing things. I have a new job that I love and my kids are very supportive and complementary of the "new me". Sure there are times when I feel nauseous, or uncomfortable..but these are few now and very minor in the scheme of things....I would be more than happy to talk with anyone, can write me at [email protected]
2004***UPDATE... Its almost 2 years since my WLS and I am a size 12, Weigh 157 from 304. Feeling good and enjoying my new life. Thinking about Plastics if i could afford it :)

UPDATE::: ITs three and 1/2 years since my WLS, Still a size 12, still weight 157 and still happy with it all. Just need to exercise more....will try harder....Feel free to contact me.
2006: A few complications along the way, Had chronic ulcers around the opening to my pouch, finally had to have a revision to correct it a few months ago. Recovered now and moving forward. Weigh 159, holding strong, being its a new opening, recovery is like starting all over but without the motivation but i'm pulling through.
2007 ALMOST 5 YEARS later :) Have incorporated the changes in my life, this is not the "new me" or the "old me" it is just me, Enjoying the many wonderful gifts in my life,
bottom line, I am one happy lady,
