I am greatly saddened to report that Herbie passed away 7/30/03 at approximately 9:30 am. Herbie finally did have surgery on 7/18/03, but he was back in the hospital almost immediately after returning home to Hahira, GA with pneumonia. As one of his dear friends reported to me, "a great light has gone out". Herbie was well loved and will be greatly missed. As always, the death of one our brothers or sisters of size comes as a great blow. I did not know Herbie personally, but he was 'one of us'. Pleae pray for Herbie's friends and family.
