My 2nd post-op baby was born on his due date of 10/25/11, weighing in at 7lbs 6oz and 19.5 inches long (my smallest baby by 4oz's).  All is well with both baby and I!  Added some pics!

Expecting my 4th child October 25, 2011

Mar 20, 2011

Wow, I didn't think I would have 4 kids, but here I am expecting October 25!  I'm nervous and excited at the same time.  Children are a huge blessing and a huge amount of work!  I just hope I can be a good mom to them all!

Long time not posting....

Sep 14, 2010

It's been soo long since I last posted.  It gets harder and harder to come back here to post the longer you are out from surgery (and of course having 3 kids to take care of)!  My baby is now 2 years old and the cutest little thing you have ever seen...definately has the "IT" factor!  My oldest son will turn 12 in December and just started 6th Grade (so hard to believe) and my one and only daughter is 9!

Since my last posting, I gained weight and got up to 175lbs.  In April 2010, I started to diet and exercise and lost almost 20lbs.  I'm feeling much better about myself again, but want to loose another 10-20 lbs.  We visited our family in Czech Republic in June/July and since then, I haven't been exercising and eating as healthy.  My goal is to get back on track and loose some more weight!  I hope I can inspire people with my weight loss success and keeping it off for nearly 6.5 years!!!!  I can honestly say I don't EVER see myself obese again!  Food and eating is something you have to stay aware of and remember to keep using your tool!  Take your vitamins, drink plenty of water, watch your portions and find some sort of activity to do and you will be a success too!

On a side note...my BMI to the left is not accurate...it's based on me weighing 163lbs, which as of today I weighed 159lbs!

I've lost a couple pounds! Yeah!

Dec 01, 2008

I'm happy to say that I have been weighing anywhere from 163-165.  Obviously, I still want to lose more weight, but I'm happy I lost those couple of pounds and keeping them off.  If I can maintain for a little while there and then drop another couple pounds here and there, I would be elated!  I'm still wearing mostly 12's and some 10's and large shirts (fitted shirts just don't look right on me anymore since having the baby).  I can't wait for the day that I can have plastic surgery and get rid of all this lose skin once and for all!

I'm very happily married to the most wonderful man in the world!  We will be married 3 years on December 10.  I thank God everyday for bringing such an awesome man into my life.  My baby is now 4 months old and adorable as all get out.  My oldest son will turn 10 on December 13 and I cannot believe how fast years go by.  It doesn't seem like I should have a 10 year old!  And I can't forget to mention my beautiful daughter who will turn 8 in March.  I'm truely blessed to have such a wonderful family!

Still struggling

Oct 09, 2008

I'm still  struggling to lose these few last pounds I gained during my pregnancy.  I'm currently weighing between 165-167 (lowest weight ever was around 155 on my old scale).  I know that this is only 3-5 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight and my doctors lowest scale weight...but darnit, I want to get back into my 150's (and lower if possible).  What totally sucks is that I'm pretty close to my pre-pregnancy weight, but my clothes don't fit or look the same (most are to small, tight and short).  I was wearing mostly 8's (and 10's) before and now wearing mostly 12's (some 10's).  I know I need to buckle down and drink more water and make healthier choices.  Some days I do really good and other days I just want to eat junk all day.  I guess to some degree I should consider myself lucky that I didn't gain any of the weight I lost from my surgery prior to my pregnancy.  It's just so hard to lose these last few pounds and even if I do get them off, I'm affraid that I will never get into my old jeans because my body shape is different now (especially in the belly).  Some days I feel so fat and other days I feel happy with how far I have come since my surgery.  It's a mind game that will never go away and I know I always will have to watch what I eat so I don't gain any more weight back.  This surgery has changed my life drastically and I'm a much happier person now.  I have 3 great kids, a great husband and a nice home to live in.  I'm able to stay at home and take care of my children.  God has truly blessed me in many ways.  I just wished I could accept my body the way it is and get past the fact that it will never be perfect.  I still plan to get a lower body lift in the future (hopefully in the next couple of years), but I'm affraid that even after that, I won't be happy with my body.  The surgery has definately helped me to lose the weight and keep it off, but it hasn't helped my brain and the way I think.  Food will always be an addiction that will be hard to overcome.

Yes, my baby was born!

Sep 18, 2008

Oh My, I should have posted much sooner, but life with a baby is so much more time consuming!

My son was born on July 25, 2008 (11days early) and weighed 8lbs 5.5oz. and was 20 inches long!  He is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen (even my mom and sister agree and we already have 4 other kids between us....LOL).  I had a fast, natural labor and delivery with no complications!  He is one of the greatest joys of my life (along with my other 2 kids and husband) and I'm so happy I have him (though the sleep deprivation sucks).

I had gained a total of 29-30 pounds during my pregancy and have lost all but 6-10 pounds of that.  The darn scale keeps jumping up and down those few pounds....ugh!  I can tell you that this wont be easy to drop those last 10 pounds and not to mention that I would LOVE to drop a few more beyound that!  I can still eat much more than I could pre-pregnancy and really have to watch my portion sizes.  I also need to be more aware of my food choices and try to cut out the sugar and fattening things (hard to do).  I also need to increase my water/fluid intake.  I definately know that plastic surgery will be in my future as my belly is much looser and fatter than before.....ERR!  Clothes shopping isn't as much fun anymore and I hate that I have to wear 1-2 sizes bigger.  I sure hope that I get into my pre-pregnancy clothes again, although the styles are changing and I want a new wardrobe....LOL.

Check out my most recent pics!  Hope you enjoy!

37 weeks, 2 days preggo

Jul 17, 2008

Any day now is all I can say!  We are soo ready for this baby boy to be born!  Everything is washed and ready!  The equipment we need right now is all set up and ready!  We just are waiting on our boy to decide when he wants to make his appearance!

Thank God my weight gain has slowed way down and at 37 weeks, 1 day preggo, I have gained a total of 28 pounds.  I feel pretty confident that I wont gain more than the 35 pounds that I was allowing myself to gain.  I can honestly say that 98% of the weight I gained is all due to baby and all belly.....LOL.  People think I'm ready to pop this baby out NOW but in reality, my body hasn't shown any signs of being ready (no thinning....no dilation...just baby's head is down).  I feel great, have no problems getting around and sleep quite well for being this far along!  At my 34 week ultra sound, everything with baby and myself looked great too!  Now to just to get through labor & delivery and hold the baby is all I'm looking forward to.  I will download my 37 week, 2 day photo's as soon as hubby downloads them onto computer.

33 Weeks, 1 Day Preggo

Jun 18, 2008

Well not a whole lot has changed since my last update.  Everything with my pregnancy is going really well.  My weight gain still scares the crap out of me, but my doctor is saying that I'm right on track and nothing to worry about.  We have purchased all the "big ticket" items for the baby and starting to finalize all the smaller items.  We are getting so excited.  It's so awesome to feel the baby move inside of me and I will miss being pregnant for sure.  I definately think I feel this baby move way more than my 2 kids pre-op.  It's awesome to look pregnant this time around too.  People are saying I'm all baby and alot of people think I'm about ready to pop at anytime......LOL.  I will add a couple of 30+ weeks pregancy pics into my photo album.

My hubby has been busy working and doing things around our house.  He has our yard looking very nice and he added a garden (tomatoes, cucumbers, zuccini, peas and an assortment of peppers).  We added a deck and some landscaping to the front of our house which makes our house seem so more welcoming.  Hubby is also still working very hard at starting his own business and is getting really close to making the product for our own house 1st.  I think he has a good idea and I sure hope and pray that people will take to it (which I think they will).  As you can see my husband is very energetic and motivated (he don't sit on his behind).  I love that about him!  In fact I love everything about him and I'm so glad that God brought him into my life.  I'm truley blessed to have him as a husband and have 2 wonderful kids (3rd on the way).  Now all I will need to do is concentrate on losing this baby weight after the baby is born and making myself look the best I can!

20 Weeks preggo and were having a Boy!

Mar 18, 2008

Well I had an ultra sound at 13 weeks and then again at 17 weeks (4th one will be around 21-22 weeks....having more than normal due to the RNY and turning 35....err...during this pregnancy) and both ultra sounds showed that we are having a boy!  My hubby and son are quite excited over this.  I didn't have a preference either way, as I already have one of each anyways.  The baby appears healthy and normal.  I had a screening done for downs and other syndroms (spell?) and all came back with good results!  The food issues still continue to linger and I have gained around 16 pounds so far, which is totally scary.  I feel myself getting so fat.....I don't know if it's mainly weight gain in my belly or other places as well.  I do feel that I have gotten a little bigger other places as well...err.  Still trying to control the food demans.  I find myself eating so much more and things that are not good for me and I'm also eating when I'm not hungry.....just craving foods (usually sweets).  So far today I have been good and I just try to do better each day.....thats about all I can do at this point in time....to try to make each day better than the previous.

We moved into our new house about a month ago and everything is going well.  There are tons of improvements that we want to do and many things that will need to get done.  It's overwhelming to think about all we want to do and how much money it will cost and then add in there the expenses that a baby brings along and all the things we still have yet to buy for the baby.  I just pray that God will help us to achieve these things.  My hubby wants to start his own business and is doing all the required research.  I think he has a good idea on what he wants to start and I feel that it will probably do well.....but the time and market will tell.  I will post more about this later once he actually gets the business started.  We hope to have it started sometime in the fall.  Of course what he wants to build and sell will 1st be tested here at our house.  I know my hubby will have his own business.....he is motiviated, talented and mechanically and technically inclined and he won't be happy just working at an average paying job.  I just hope he makes the right business move and becomes successful with it!

12 weeks, 2 days Preggo

Jan 23, 2008

Well I had my 1st ultra sound and my due date is definately August 5, 2008.  I'm feeling well, just tired alot and everything seems to going really well.  I feel like I can eat way to much and I totally hate that.  I have gained around 5 pounds so far and I hope to keep it under 30 pounds for the whole pregnancy.  At the rate that I'm going and how much I have been eating, I just hope it don't go over that and I hope I can break these bad habits after the baby is born.  I'm terrified that I will not be able to lose the excess baby weight, but that is a bridge I will have to cross once I get there.  For now I need to focus on controlling my food quanaties and how much I'm eating in a day.   On a positive note, my kids are soo excited to have a new brother or sister.  Of course my son wants a boy and my daughter don't care.  My hubby says its a boy and my intuition tells me it's a girl (though I don't care either way as I already have one of each).  We should be able to know what we are having in mid to late March.  This will make things so much easier to buy things and pick out names.

I posted a couple of new pics of myself as I have gotten a new hair style and color.  I'm normally really dark haired and wanted to go back to a color that was closer to my natural color (also much easier to maintain).

We got the house we made an offer on and should be closing on it in the middle of February and moving in by the end of that month.  This will require my kids to switch schools, which I'm not crazy about.  I think my daughter will like it better as she will go to school every day for half days (she is in kindergarten).  My son seems fine with the move, but I know he will really miss his teacher and friends.  Luckily we won't be moving that far away.  This house has so much privacy (1.97 acres) and is set back of a dirt road (not to far down a main road).  We will have plenty of room to move and grow into this house, so we are very excited to be in it.
