4/6/04 I spoke to Julie with Dr Eagon's office today and I have an appt to see the surgeon on 5/21. I am so happy that I might finally get a procedure that will work for me! Will update more when after I see him. This site is truly a blessing!
3/25/04 I seem to be gaining weight like crazy and I am definitely looking into Revision from my VBG to RNY. I have sent for all my medical records to be sent to the surgeon from my PCP and from my chiropractor as my back pain is getting out of control. I used to walk 3 miles a day, until everything started hurting, now I barely get out at all. It seems like everyday I am in more and more pain. I live on Ibuprofen which I realize I won't be able to take anymore after surgery so I hope getting more weight off will help. My back hurts, my knees hurt, I had foot surgery in December and that still bothers me a lot too. I have neck pain and shoulder pain and elbows. It seems lately any part of me that bends hurts. It is making me a little depressed now. I was doing so well. I will try to update this a little more often. 11/09/12 It been a long journey. I ballooned up to a lovely 396 lbs by December of 2011. I am currently down to 320 with a 6 month medically supervised weight loss doing low carbs. The RNY surgery will be done in Columbia, Mo with an awesome team there starring Dr De La Torre as my surgeon. I go next Thursday 11/15/12 for the pre-surgery class and they will schedule my surgery that day. It has to be done within 30 days from the day of the class. I am shooting for December 10th. Hoping this will be what I have been waiting for. See you all on the other side!
