So, I had my 6 month check today, and drum-roll please, I am down to 247 with shoes on. According to my scale at home I am 244, but I don't wear shoes. My surgeon was going on about how proud of me he is and how happy he is for me. He thinks we can get me down to ideal weight and his first goal for me is 190 pounds, or a BMI of 35. I can do this. I am GOING to do this. In fact, I am going to start going out to NIACC (since I am a student) and using their recreation room facilities to help move me towards my goal. I just hope that there aren't a ton of people there to crowd it out and stare at me. I hate the feeling of being stared at. Maybe once I am a "hot mama" it won't be so bad...lol. But for now, find something else to stare at. Here is to a new me, and meeting my surgeon's first goal!!

 Woot woot!!! Got on the scale this morning to find that I have lost 5 more pounds and am finally under 250 pounds at 249.6. I'll take it...lol. Now my next goal is to lose 50 more pounds and get under 200 pounds. Baby steps to my final goal. I am so excited!! Woot, Woot!! Probably really need to get myself moving and excersising more so the pounds really start falling off even quicker.

 So, saw Dr. Ver Steeg again yesterday, May 25th, and I have lost 53 pounds so far since surgery. Doc said he was very impressed and very proud of me. That makes me feel so GREAT!!!! I think that this is the best decision I have ever made (besides having my children, of course). I am so happy with myself. Of course I still have moments of "Man, I wish I wouldn't have done this" just because of the foods that I miss eating. It will get better, though, I hope

 Hmmm...I have been the same weight since what seems like forever now. 276.2. I can't seem to shake it.  I don't know what to do. I feel as though I am never going to get anywhere near my goal weight. Like I said, I have been 276 for like 6 weeks now. I just want to sit in the corner and cry. I didn't go through this to remain big and huge. I hope this stall breaks soon. Maybe I should up my walking even more...I don't know. But what I do know is that I am so discouraged, and this really sucks. I met my first goal (to get below 300 pounds) rather quickly, but I don't think I am ever going to get to Onederland.  So frustrating...

 I have officially had my 1st "real meal" since my surgery one month ago. It was Arby's roast chicken with a slice of cheese. Oh man was it good. I remembered to eat slowly, chew well, and take small bites, and it went down just fine. No tummy ache or anything. I can't wait for this hour to go by so I can get a drink. I am so thirsty!!!  Me and pouchie could get along just fine, as long as she does her job correctly...LOL  Anyway, just had to celebrate that I got to have a "real meal" for dinner tonight!!! Whoot whoot!!!!!!

 Yea!!! One month post-op (tomorrow) and a check up to go with it. I saw my surgeon today, and he was pleasantly surprised to see that I am doing very well and I have lost 25 pounds since surgery!!! I am so excited!! So, in my last two weeks, I have only lost 5 pounds, but when I look at the whole picture, 25 pounds in a month isn't too shabby!!! I can now eat more foods, as I was provided with a new list. It looks as if it doesn't need to be mushed food, now. So exciting!!! Can't wait to see where my next month will take me!!!

 Ah...finally!!! I am able to CHEW something!!!! I saw my doc today for my two week post op, and I have lost 20 pounds and can now eat pureed foods, or as I like to say, baby mush. I was so excited. Sad thing is, I am not even hungry, though. I will have to force myself to have something just to get all my protein in. I am so excited that I have had this surgery. I just can't wait to see how far I can go!!!

 How great to finally be able to write those words... POST-OP. I never imagined I would ever get to this spot, and finally, I am one week out. It feels so great to have finally accomplished getting a start to my new life. I was pretty sore the first few days, but it actually is not so bad anymore. In fact, last night was the first night that I was able to sleep in my bed instead of on the couch. Oh, how I missed my bed.  (The couch reclines, so it was easier to sleep there when your tummy is so sore, and I did a lot of that to start with).

I finally broke down and weighed myself, as my first post-op appointment isn't until March 3rd. According to my scale this morning, I have only lost four pounds, plus all the fluid weight that I ended up gaining in the hospital (this was like an additional 5 pounds). This was also before I "unclogged" myself with MOM , as I hadn't used the bathroom since, well, Wednesday before surgery. I am looking forward to going to my first post-op appointment so I can see my weight loss according to the doctor's scale.

I am still finding it hard to get all my water in, as 64 ounces is a ton with such a tiny little pouch, and honestly, I don't feel like having anything. My protein, on the other hand, I can get all that in fairly easily, as 8 ounces provides me with 60g of protein!!  Things can only get better, right? 

Anyway, I am so excited to finally be on the loser's bench, and can't wait to see how far I can go from here!!!

 OMG!!! Just 4 days left until my re-birthday!!! I can't fricken wait!!! I weighed myself today, and I am 305.2. That means 4.8 pounds lost so far...WOOT WOOT!!!! I am so looking forward to it, and I really want to know my surgery time. Won't find that out until Wednesday. Oh well. It is still soooo close!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!
