I've lost 50 pounds so far. Well I hit it about 3 weeks ago. My weight goes up and down daily. I think i'm in some sort of plateau or something.
I go back to the doctor next week. Maybe he will be nice and give me another fill!!!

My first fill last week

I had my first fill over a week ago.
I decided that I needed my first fill approximately 3 weeks ago. I couldn't get in any sooner cause my doctor was way busy.
Anyhow, #1 My portions were getting bigger, and #2 I had not lost a pound for about 2-3 weeks.
The fill was soo easy. My doctor put in 2cc.
About 3-5 days after, my fill, I experienced some weight loss.
YAY!

Well it's official. I entered the 170's yesterday and I'm still there today. Today I weighed in at 179.4. When I hit 179.1, I will have lost 45 lbs. woo-hoo!!
I've slowed down with my loss in the past week. Life has been hectic. I need to work out more and drink more water.
I completed the April Fitness Challenge and went over my goal of 2000 minutes. I set another goal for May for 2000 minutes. I really aim to be at about 2500 minutes.
I will post my April ticker in another blog.
My next goal is to be at 174.1 by May 19th. That will put me at a 50 lb. loss.
On another forum, I also set a May goal. To be in the 160's by June. That would be awesome! I hope I can do it!

Well, I'm at 185 lbs. and some change right now. I haven't weighed this much since 2002ish. That's almost 6 years.
I did a 5K run on Sunday. My time was under 38 minutes. Last year, my time was around 46 minutes. Which is awesome!!!
I have a little more than 10 lbs. to meet my 50 lb. goal which is May 19th. I hope I can do it!

I've been in a 2 week plateau. I've been up and down within the same 2 lbs. I know that I'm losing inches, but I really need to see that number on the scale. It's been quite frustrating.
I went to my local support group last night looking for answers.
I talked to one of the guys who is a gym rat like me. He told me that I need more protein. And I also need to trick my body. I've been alternating the elliptical and the treadmill every other day.
He told me to do the treadmill for a week, then the elliptical for a week, and I will see results.
He also said that I should try a product Muscle Milk that has like 32 grams of protein. I've been burning 350-500 calories every time I'm at the gym. My body has nothing left after that am I'm going into starvation mode. Great!
So I'm going to go buy some products today and strictly use the treadmill.

Well I didn't make my Valentine's Day goal of being at 200 lbs. But, I'm almost there. I weighed in at 200.6 today. Woo-Hoo!!
I've worked out every day for the past week now.
I alternate every other day.
Day 1: Treadmill at home
Day 2: Ellipitical at Gym but some free weights
I think the working out is good for me. I'm trying to get my pace up on the treadmill so I can start running soon. I know as soon as I start running, the weight will come off a little faster.

2 Weeks Later..Post Op

So here I am, 2 weeks and one day after surgery.
I've lost 17+ lbs. so far.
Last Thursday, I fractured my ankle by falling in my garage. Good times. I'm now wearing one of those puffy leg braces with velcro. I walk like Frankenstein right now.
I went to Dr. Johnsrud on Wednesday. He said everything looks good. I go back in 8 weeks. I thought I was supposed to get a fill at 6, but whatever. As long as I'm losing, I'm good.
I went to the gym for the first time since surgery this morning. Dr. Johnsrud suggested riding the bike, so I don't put pressure on my ankle. I rode the bike for 30 minutes and 5 miles. I did some other things too. I feel pretty good.
While I was on the bike, I was thinking about some goals for myself. So here they are.
February 14 (Valentine's Day)-200 lbs.
May 19 (Son's B-day)-175 lbs.
July 4 (4th of July)-150
November 14 (My B-day)-Goal
I hope that I can achieve these goals. It will take a lot of work and alot of commitment to the gym. I want to be the Lap band poster child for my doctor's office. Is that a bad thing?
