Well about 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Policystic Ovarian Syndrome and told that I was pre diabetes. Insulin Resistance. For the first time in my life of obesity it is takin a serious toll on my health. As a result I begin to start looking at ways to lose weight as these are things that are directly related. I decided to start doing research on the lap band surgery and went to the seminar. I was totally sold. I was super excited and set up my first appointment. Well in the appointment I was told that my insurance will cover the majority of the procedure but that no insurance will cover their 3 year program and that the 3 year program was $1500.00 with a deposit of $500.00 due that day. Well needless to say not only was I super disappointed as it took them 3 hours just to tell me that but I was super disappointed that I was not told at the seminar that I have to come out the pocket $1500.00 before they will even look at me.
So once I got over the disappointment I decided I was not going to let this stop me and I was going to find me a bariatric surgeon to do this and do the rest in increments on my own via my insurance. Including the nutritionist. Investigating to find a bariatric surgeon led me to Obesityhelp.com and now I feel I will get some help so that I can become healthy.
