It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since my surgery. I am doing well. I am on soft foods now. Finding things I like to eat has been a challenge. I have lost 23 pounds so far. I am feeling pretty good. I have not gotten sick at all but I have also been very careful not to eat more than what I think my stomach can hold. I never really get a full sensation. I guess that is because what I used to consider full was actually stuffed. But I will not longer feel hungry after I eat my allotted amount, so I guess that means I am full. I really want to start walking. I have been walking aroud a lot but not actually walking a trail or tredmill for exercise. I am ready to start. I am so bored with television and being inside. I cannot wait to go swiming.

Thank you all for your support. Dr. Quinlin said I am in excelent health and since I am still young my risk level is lower than most who have this surgery. That made me feel good. Last night reality sunk in and I started to get scared by the whole idea of surgery. I cried for the first time...the teddy bear comforted me through it. Thanks to Ruth for passing the teddy bear onto me. I just spoke to the hospital surgical cordinators office. I will be Dr. Quinlin's first surgery of the day (7:30am) YEAH!!!! I was hoping for that. Sure hope he is a morning person :o) I am not. They don't need to worry about putting me to sleep. They will have to wake me when they are ready to start. I should be coming home from the hospital on Thursday. I will try to post an update when I get home. Thanks for all the love and support, Shannon
