Its_a_New_Day_2011

Hello all!!! Here is my story. I am a 32 year old mother and wife. I work full time and I am working on my associates in Business ( I know a late start, but better late than never). I am also the VP of my Sorority and am very involved in my Church. So as you can see my life is full.

I have been big most of my life but never as big as I am now, topping off at 268 lbs. The breaking point for me was when my 8 year old asked me to go practice his soccer with him at the park. My first thought was, great this will be fun. Well, we get to the park and he kicks the ball and before I even got half way up the field I was huffing and puffing and holding my side. I knew then something had to give. He's getting older and wanting to play more and more sports. The next thing that happen was I was getting ready to go out with my sisters and my spouse was out of town, I put on my heels and couldn't even bend over to buckle the shoe. It was the worst feeling ever. I was trying so hard I was pouring down sweat trying to get them buckled, I gave up and didn't even end up going out, I was so upset. I'm also tired of only being able to shop at a few stores to buy fashionable clothes. Those are just a few things, but the biggest things was my health. My blood pressure is so high and my doctor has tried medicine after medicine and it has been uncontrollable, it caused me to have the worst headaches ever. Those are also uncontrollable. My cholesterol is up and heart attacks run in my family so this weight thing was really starting to scare me. I have no energy, I mean I am at the end of my rope. I have tried every diet possible.

So one day on my way home from work I see Dr. David Kim's sign, which I have seen a million times, but this time I decided to make that call. I can't tell you how glad I am that I did. I had my surgery on May 16th and today as I write this on May 23rd I have already lost 23 lbs. Not to mention that since day one everyone has been so kind. When I was at the hospital there was not one person that was unkind or not welcoming to me and my family. I mean I have never been to a hospital that EVERYONE cared. They even had a person designated to make sure that everyone was treating you supreme. This was my first major surgery and I must admit that they made a bad situation really good. In the hospital I was very sick to my stomach after the surgery and I had a nurse that was almost in tears just because she couldn't fix it. I mean the way they care is genuine. It was great. For any who hasn't decided on a doctor, I highly recommend Dr. David Kim.

Anyhow, this is my story and if you have any questions I would be more than happy answer. Good luck all!!
