Michael W. Johnell M.D., F.A.C.S

"For a surgeon he was positively warm and fuzzy. Very professional, answered my questions. Office staff nice. Don't cancel your appointment without rescheduling, they won't see you for 3 months. Aftercare was emphasized, and he has a structed support system. I would give him a 10 on initial consult, and will update post-op. Surgical competence is so much more important. I could care less if he has the personality of Godzilla, if he is good with a knife. I would recommend this MD, and I don't recommend many. Also see above re: Karen the insurance person. She is the bomb! What a helpful person. I am 11 weeks post-op. I am very impressed with their office staff, especially Paula, the nurse practitioner. I had an allergic reaction to my stiches and they were very reassuring. The office staff works with me around scheduling my f/u appointments very well. Saw the MD 1 time post-op to rule out a band infection (it was the reaction to the sutures) but otherwise haven't seen him. But the other staff take such good of me, I feel totally spoiled! I would recommend this MD to anybody. "

Jay Robb's Whey Protein

"Excellent product and easy to add to foods to increase the calorie/protein count"

North Colorado Medical Center (COE)

"It is a LONG walk from the parking structure to the main hospital, and quite a little trek up to surgery. I would ask for a wheelchair if this is too much exercertion. Nurses very nice and accommodating. Semi-private room, but the nurse kicked the other ladies visitors out when I needed a procedure done."

Samuel Ammirato

"Well worth the drive if you are outside of the Denver-Metro area. Take the info your surgeon needs addressed with you and answer the surgeon's questions."
